The centennial Laurent Perrier winery first launched in 1987 the inaugural vintage (1982) of its most special rosé, and now the Club brings you Champagne Laurent Perrier Alexandra Rosé 2012, its latest vintage on the market.
Selection and exclusivity guide the crafting of this elegant blend of pinot noir and chardonnay sourced from the most prestigious Grand Cru vineyards in the Champagne region, including Ambonnay, Bouzy, Mailly, Verzenay for the pinot noir and Avize, Cramant, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger for the chardonnay. Michel Fauconnet, cellar master of the maison, personally oversees the quality of the grapes used, analyzing their characteristics, concentration, acidity, and potential, as well as the subsequent processes of maceration, fermentation, and blending, crowned by more than 10 years of aging on lees. All this to create Laurent Perrier Alexandra Rosé 2012, a unique, absolutely exceptional sparkling rosé that will especially enhance refined dishes such as tempura prawns, grilled lobster, or scallops with black truffle.
Tasting notes
Of a delicate pale salmon color and a persistent, very fine bubble.
Complex on the nose, where it reveals aromas of wild strawberry and redcurrant jam that evolve into notes of candied citrus.
Elegant, fine, and mineral on the palate. Smooth and dry texture with a persistent finish and a clear presence of forest fruits.
