Distinguished with the Gold Medal at the 2014 Lyon International Competition, Família Oliveda Brut Jove is a young cava made from macabeo, xarel·lo, and parellada grapes, grown by Celler Oliveda in their vineyards in Alt Empordà.
Família Oliveda Brut Jove is a modern and daring cava that captivates with its youth and the finesse of its delicate bubbles. Celler Oliveda, a family winery founded in 1948 in the Girona municipality of Capmany, designs its youngest sparkling wine from macabeo, xarel·lo, and parellada grapes cultivated in its 51 hectares of vineyard.
The strict selection of the best fruits in the field continues in the meticulous production process in the winery. Following the champenoise method, Celler Oliveda subjected this sparkling wine to a second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent aging on lees for 12 months, in the stillness of its cellar, one of the oldest in the area. In the glass, Família Oliveda Brut Jove cava presents itself as the ideal option both as an aperitif and to accompany exquisite tapas, typical Mediterranean dishes, and all kinds of desserts.

Settled in the municipality of Capmany, in the Alt Empordà (Girona), Celler Oliveda is a winery founded in 1948 by Josep Oliveda Casanovas and his wife Joana Rigau Ros. Currently, the company dedicated to the production of still wines, cavas, and liqueurs is managed by the third generation of the family saga, represented by Alfons Freixa Oliveda.
In its 51 hectares of vineyards, Celler Oliveda combines the cultivation of native varieties such as garnacha tinta, samsó (cariñena), xarel.lo, macabeo, moscatel, and parellada, with other foreign ones like chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, syrah, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, or pinot noir. From these, it produces and markets wines under three different designations of origin: Empordà, Catalunya, and Cava.
