Bodegas Viyuela establishes itself as a benchmark in the Ribera del Duero. Carramonte Crianza is a red wine produced exclusively for Vinoselección. Here comes the new harvest: Carramonte Crianza 2023. A fabulous 'Ribera' wine, imposing in its youth and elegant in its maturity.
Are you looking for a red that simply complements a special meal and leaves a rounded sensation from the first sip? Carramonte Crianza 2023, from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, is crafted for that: to offer a wine with presence, balance and that touch of character that makes it easy to enjoy. It is made with Tempranillo and spends 12 months in French and American oak barrels, refining its profile without losing freshness or identity.
Comes from vines located in Boada de Roa, in the very heart of the Ribera del Duero, with an average age of 30 years and hand harvest. That combination of origin and care in picking is evident in a wine that expresses the region well and its approach to red wines: with depth, with nerve and with a well-balanced maturity.
Behind it is Bodegas Viyuela, a project linked to the González Viyuela family and established as a reference in the denomination. With Alfonso Medina Asensio heading the technical side, the winery works with a clear idea: to look after the vineyard and shape honest wines, with personality and very well made.

Pairing
Carramonte Crianza 2023 is ideal to accompany a mushroom risotto or a grilled rib steak.
Blackberries and ripe fruit in harmony with spicy notes, a balsamic touch and a very evocative floral background, all at once very personal.
Mouth
Are you looking for a red that carries through the palate with intensity and leaves a wide, precise sensation? Carramonte Crianza 2023 offers an intense, fleshy mouthfeel, with soft tannins that wrap around the palate in a silky touch. Its profile gains balance thanks to a well-defined structure and a fresh, broad finish on the retronasal, which prolongs the sense of quality and maturity.
Bodegas Viyuela was founded by José Ángel González Viyuela, a native of Boada de Roa (Burgos) and a member of a family linked for generations to vine cultivation, mainly in the municipality of Pedrosa. After years dedicated to viticulture, in 2003 José Ángel González Viyuela decided to undertake a sophisticated project focused on quality within the framework of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. He currently remains at the helm of Bodegas Viyuela as President, while his daughter, Laura González Sainz, serves as General Manager.
Bodegas Viyuela relies on 23 hectares of its own vineyard of the tempranillo variety -and 10 additional controlled hectares- to produce its two ranges: the Classic line (Viyuela Barrica, Viyuela Crianza, and Viyuela Reserva) and the Signature line (Viyuela 3+3, Viyuela 10, and Viyuela Xº Aniversario). Since its market launch, Bodegas Viyuela wines have enjoyed prestige and acceptance, earning numerous awards and medals, both nationally and internationally.
In 2019, Bodegas Viyuela was recognized by Mundus Vini as the best winery in Ribera del Duero.
