Beronia Rueda Verdejo Mágnum 2023 is produced in Beronia Rueda, the Beronia project in this Castilian denomination. The brand, part of the González Byass group, crafts a single-varietal Verdejo with a highly distinctive personality, resulting from a double harvest and complete fermentation in stainless steel and concrete. Tasting notes

Beronia Rueda Verdejo offers great aromatic intensity. The nose is dominated by citrus notes (grapefruit) and white fruit, followed by herbaceous aromas typical of the variety, such as fennel.

On the palate, it is a creamy, fresh, and elegant wine, with a bitter touch at the end, characteristic of Verdejo.

The winery

Beronia Rueda began its journey in the Castilian D.O. in 2015 with the launch of its only wine, Beronia Rueda Verdejo. Three years later, the brand, part of the powerful González Byass Group, boasts its own winery and 65 hectares of vineyards spread across La Perdiz and El Torreón, two estates with distinct characteristics but located in one of the best areas of the region.

Sustainability and respect for the environment are two of the pillars of the Beronia Rueda project. This is reflected in the very building that houses the winery, designed by architect Gonzalo Tello. Details such as the thickness of the concrete walls or the semi-buried production area help maintain a constant temperature, facilitating the storage and preservation of white wines. Additionally, the building benefits from natural light, thanks to its carefully planned location and large windows, and it features a biomass boiler to generate hot water and heating.

In terms of winemaking, Beronia Rueda is also at the forefront with the use of the latest technology, combining stainless steel tanks and tulip-shaped concrete tanks. The former provides the wine with freshness, while the latter offers warmth, as it allows for greater contact with the lees. The result is a white wine from the D.O. Rueda that is absolutely unique and complex.
