Atlántida Blanco 2022 is the first single-varietal vijiriega, also known as vijariego blanco, produced in Cadiz lands since the late 19th century. Phylloxera nearly wiped out this historic variety, now recovered by Alberto Orte, winemaker and co-owner of Compañía de Vinos del Atlántico. From it, he shapes a white wine with 12 months of aging that intensely expresses the essence of the Cadiz terroir. Complex, flavorful, mineral, and with a marked salinity.

Tasting notes
Atlántida Blanco boasts a beautiful golden color.
On the nose, it is complex and very perfumed, with aromas of stone fruits, both fresh and dried, and orange blossom, with a citrus touch.
Taste-wise, it stands out for the surprising confluence of flavors it presents, from tasty and juicy fruits (mandarin, lemon) to minerals with a pronounced salinity.
The winery
In 2002, the union of the winemaking heritage of the families of Alberto Orte and Patrick Mata gave birth to the Compañía de Vinos del Atlántico, a winemaking giant present in 18 denominations of origin in Spain and Portugal, including Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Toro, Rueda, Rías Baixas, Priorat, Cádiz, Douro, and Alentejano. With the purpose of crafting unique wines that faithfully express the identity of their place of origin, the company boasts some of the best vineyards in these production areas.
