General Information
From the 29 hectares controlled by Bodegas Los Astrales, the tinto fino vines up to 80 years old, cultivated in goblet, are their greatest asset. The firm has small plots with low yields, such as Los Astrales, from which the tempranillo grapes that give life to Astrales 2020 are born.
With the start of the new century began the journey of Bodegas Los Astrales, a solid proposal from the Romera de la Cruz family, heirs to a winemaking tradition that spans three generations. In the heart of the D.O. Ribera del Duero, in the Burgos village of Anguix, this project develops thanks to the excellent viticultural heritage that the family has been cultivating for decades. Tasting notes
Astrales is a red wine with an intense nose where aromas of black fruits, spices, balsámicos, and toasted notes stand out.
On the palate, it is balanced and broad, powerful, with good structure and a firm yet delicate tannicity that indicates a magnificent evolution in the bottle.

Bodegas Los Astrales emerged in the year 2000 in the D.O. Ribera del Duero as an initiative of the Romera de la Cruz family, the third generation of winegrowers in Anguix (Burgos), who until then had been grape suppliers for the most prestigious wineries in Ribera del Duero. Thus, they decided to take the leap into winemaking by partnering with the winemaker Eduardo García (Mauro, San Román, and Leda). After his departure in 2013, José Hidalgo, one of the most renowned winemakers in the country, took over the design of the wines.
With vineyards of Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) inherited from the previous generation of the family, Los Astrales produces modern-style wines, structured, with magnificent fruit expression and elegance, which achieve high scores from the most influential critics.
