Artadi represents the forefront of Spanish wine, a house that has become a benchmark of quality on an international level. In fact, it is one of the five wineries in the entire national history to have received the highest score from guru Robert Parker (100 points out of 100) for one of its wines: Viña el Pisón 2004. A rating that places it on par with the legendary French, Italian, or Californian wines, and that has elevated this winery and its creator, Juan Carlos López de Lacalle, to the Olympus of the Gods. Their wines are very difficult to obtain, sold only through allocations. Since López de Lacalle founded Artadi in 1985 as a cooperative, the trajectory of this Rioja winery has been meteoric. Today, it is an internationally acclaimed winery whose success translates into enormous difficulty in acquiring its wines. The Artazu winery was founded in 1996 in the Alava town of the same name, with the intention of producing single-varietal wines with the traditional variety of the area: Garnacha. The wines of Artazuri come from young vineyards and are fresh and fruity, vibrant and carefree.
