Arindo 2023 is a white wine made entirely from Verdejo vines located in the vineyards of Bodegas Shaya to the west of Segovia, in the D.O. Rueda. Sandy soils covered with pebbles have infused their essence into a very pleasant and easy-to-drink white that is the ideal companion for mollusks, fish, boiled seafood, creams, and white meat.
Serving temperature
Arindo 2023 is a light and refreshing single-varietal verdejo designed by Bodegas Shaya in the lands of Segovia. A wine that showcases great qualities as a result of a good grape selection and careful winery production. The vinification was carried out in stainless steel tanks for 25 days at a maximum temperature of 15º. Once the fermentation process was completed, the wine remained maturing in a refrigerated tank until bottling. The result is a white wine that stands out for its freshness and pleasant finish.
Bodegas Shaya is the initiative of Grupo Juan Gil Bodegas Familiares in the Segovia area with the aim of producing quality wines with verdejo, one of the most successful varieties in our country. The winery was established in 2008 and currently owns more than 30 hectares of very old low-yield vineyards, cultivated on sandy soils.
Arindo 2023 is a white wine from the D.O. Rueda that is pleasant and full of freshness, standing out for its enjoyable finish. Its elegant floral and ripe fruit notes and its balanced and well-structured palate pair perfectly with boiled seafood, shellfish and fish, salads, white meat, and semi-cured cheeses.
The white wine Arindo has an attractive straw yellow color. It features a balanced and pleasant aromatic profile with elegant floral and ripe fruit notes. On the palate, it is balanced and well-structured, with sweet and fine notes of white fruits (banana, apple) and stone fruits (apricot) and light and refreshing acidic notes that balance a tasty and long finish.
The Gil Family established Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya in 2008 together with Enrique Busto. The winery and its vineyards are located in the southeastern area of the denomination, in the province of Segovia, and the technical direction is led by Australian winemaker Belinda Thomson.
Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya produces the wines Arindo, Shaya, and Shaya Habis, using grapes from 30.5 hectares of very old, low-yield verdejo vineyards (many of them ungrafted). The vines are bush-trained and planted in sandy soils covered with pebbles. Winemaker Belinda Thomson states that the wines from Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya “faithfully reflect the terroir they come from and are crafted to age well over time”.
