General Information
The Altos Ibéricos wine collection, to which Altos Ibéricos Parcelas de Graciano 2015 belongs, owes its name to Alto Otero, the beautiful and unique landscape of Labastida, where, since 2005, the Torres family's Rioja winery has been established.
At an altitude of over 1,200 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa, wines are crafted and aged with which the renowned Catalan family pays homage to the purest tradition of the D.O.Ca., like this Altos Ibéricos Parcelas de Graciano 2015 we propose to you. A very particular red wine, as it is solely characterized by a variety mainly used in blending reserves, due to its excellent aging potential.
Altos Ibéricos Parcelas de Graciano 2015 comes from a harvest that, although very early, turned out to be of very good quality due to the magnificent climatic conditions throughout the year. The winemaking process was extremely rigorous, culminating in 12 months of aging in French oak barrels and at least another 6 months of bottle aging, with controlled temperature and humidity. Appreciate all its qualities by enjoying it alongside roasted meats, oven-baked lamb, traditional Castilian stews, or cured sheep cheeses.
The Torres surname has been linked to winemaking in the Penedès region since the 17th century, although the official founding date of the winery is set in 1870. Generation after generation, this company, based in Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona), has remained in family hands, becoming today, quite possibly, the most well-known Spanish winery in the world, with a presence in over 150 countries. A winery with a portfolio of globally renowned brands.
