Altos Ibéricos Crianza 2021 is the emblem of the Torres family in Rioja. Back in 2005 the prestigious Catalan firm expanded into Labastida in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa subzone with the aim of producing fine wines that fully reflected the area’s history and potential. This single-varietal made from Tempranillo grapes embodies its essence.

Altos Ibéricos Crianza 2021 is named after Alto Otero, the place where the winery is located, in Labastida. It’s made from Tempranillo grapes picked by hand and has been aged for 13 months in French and American oak – 7% in new barrels – plus a further 12 months in the bottle.
Originally from the Penedès region, Torres is a company with a 150-year track record that currently encompasses nine wineries in Spain and two more abroad. It is, arguably, the most famous Spanish winery in the world. It is also one of the few major wineries that are still 100% family-owned. In 2005 the Torres family established a new winery in Labastida, in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa area, attracted by the potential of its Tempranillo vineyards.
Altos Ibéricos Crianza 2021 is ideal for pairing with lamb dishes, from roasts to chops, as well as pork recipes. This D.O.Ca. Rioja red wine is also a great match for Ibérico pork deli meats.
