20 Aldeas 2022 presents freshness, fruit and balance. This organic Crianza from Ribera del Duero, 100% Tempranillo, combines the best of the Roa soils with careful ageing in American oak, showcasing a modern, approachable and intense profile. Let yourself be carried away and discover it.

With 200 hectares of vineyards on a single estate, Condado de Haza stands as the largest 'château' in the Ribera del Duero. A winery that has gained international fame with red wines in which Tempranillo expresses all its character and potential. Now arrives the fifth vintage of its organic wine: 20 Aldeas 2022. A modern, elegant red true to the terroir from which it comes, in this case with its purest expression supported by the organic farming practised at this authentic ‘château’ of the Ribera.

The vines (164 hectares in total) extend in a privileged area of the Ribera del Duero in Burgos, between Roa and La Horra. These are old vines (30 years) that grow at an altitude of 800 m, and yield fruits of very high quality. It employs traditional winemaking, with destemming and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. It finally matures for about 11 months in American oak barrels.

Owned by the Fernández Rivera family, Condado de Haza marks a quarter of a century as one of the emblematic names of Ribera del Duero. Located in the Roa area, on the banks of the Duero, it is modeled on a Bordeaux-style château, with the vineyards surrounding the facilities. The estate, cultivated with almost 200 hectares of Tempranillo, stretches along a slope of poor soils with a perfect south-facing orientation. Its wines enjoy well-deserved fame; for example, the prestigious American magazine Wine Spectator named Condado de Haza in 2016 as the best Ribera del Duero in its Top 100 list.

The red 20 Aldeas 2022 is the ideal choice to accompany a Milanese-style rice dish or a chicken stuffed with seasonal mushrooms.

Bodegas Condado de Haza

Condado de Haza is the second winery of the Familia Fernández Rivera in Ribera del Duero. Following the success of the parent winery (Tinto Pesquera), this family decided to expand its legacy. They found the ideal location on a hillside with poor soils and perfect orientation along the banks of the Duero River, in the municipality of Roa (Burgos), where the first vines were planted in 1987. On the same estate stands the winery, inspired by French ‘châteaux,’ with a structure designed by carving into a hill. Additionally, it features an underground bottle cellar where the wines rest in perfect conditions.

In 2008, the international prestige of the winery took a significant leap when Condado de Haza Crianza was included by Wine Spectator magazine among the 100 best wines in the world. Today, the winery has 200 hectares of vineyards, all of the tempranillo variety, the signature grape of the Familia Fernández Rivera. Its wines are made exclusively from estate-grown grapes. It produces the brands Condado de Haza Crianza, Condado de Haza Reserva Especial, and Alenza. These are red wines with long aging in oak, earning acclaim from both national and international critics.
