Born from the youngest vines of the estate, with an average age of 36 years, Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Roche Granitique 2022 is the second wine from the Grand Cru Brand vineyard (Turckheim, Alsace) that the Humbrecht family markets. A warm terroir with a granitic composition and clays rich in trace elements, producing fine and elegant wines with great floral and fruity expression, a certain richness, and a fine acidity.

General Information
Viticulture is a passion that has been passed down from generation to generation in the Humbrecht family since the 17th century. Domaine Zind Humbrecht today comprises 40 hectares of vineyards spread across different terroirs in the geological mosaic that is the Alsace wine region, the birthplace of magnificent wines such as Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Roche Granitique 2022, a silky and expressive white wine made from riesling grapes grown mainly in the Grand Cru Brand (in Alsatian "land of fire"), one of the sunniest and warmest areas of Alsace, where the vines grow on very poor sandy soils that appear dry when it doesn’t rain regularly, but allow the vines to grow strong and green thanks to their ability to develop deep root systems that reach silts, clays, and moisture.

Tasting notes
Intense yellow color, clean and bright.
The nose is open and attractive. Aromas of stone fruit and white fruits (pear) appear, blending with more toasted aromas and rock dust. This wine will open up and continue to deliver fabulous aromas.
On the palate, it shows volume and length, fully reaching the palate, with a silky texture where the acidity is well-present. Dry and harmonious finish.
