Viñedos y Bodegas Muñoz

Viñedos y Bodegas Muñoz is a company from Noblejas (Toledo) under the D.O. La Mancha that has gained attention in the wine industry for its Blas Muñoz Chardonnay, which won the Silver Medal at the fifteenth edition of the international competition Chardonnay du Monde, held in the French region of Burgundy, the birthplace of Chardonnay, where nearly 1,000 wines were tasted. The curious fact is that it was a Spanish winery that earned one of the top awards by crafting one of the most delightful white wines of the competition using this prestigious French-origin grape. Viñedos y Bodegas Muñoz also produces the brands Artero and Robledillo. It exports almost 70% of its production to foreign markets, where wines from La Mancha are increasingly appreciated and consumed. This Toledo-based winery was founded in 1940 with a predominantly family-oriented character, which it has maintained to this day, now in its third generation. In addition to continuing to focus on the international commercialization of its wines (made with the varietals Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Macabeo, and Chardonnay), its future projects include expanding its activities into the field of wine tourism.
