La Viña del Loco is the riverside project of Miravinos, a company founded in 2012 by journalist and wine and gastronomy writer Víctor Rodríguez and winemaker José Carlos García, two very sane enthusiasts who traveled through Ribera del Duero until they found the perfect terroir. La Viña del Loco is located between La Horra and Sotillo de la Ribera, one of the best areas for vine cultivation in this appellation. There, Víctor Rodríguez and José Carlos García manage several plots of old Tempranillo vineyards with very low yields.
