Terrazas de los Andes

Terrazas de los Andes is an Argentine winery located in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, founded in 1996 as a subsidiary of Moët & Hennessy. Its history began with the restoration of a historic winery built in 1898, and it has since been a pioneer in high-altitude winemaking. The philosophy of Terrazas de los Andes is based on the exploration of terroirs and precision viticulture, with vineyards planted on terraces between 980 and 1,250 metres above sea level.

Terrazas de los Andes has eight vineyards located on the eastern slopes of the Andes. Each grape variety is cultivated at a specific altitude to benefit from optimal climatic conditions. Soils are analysed using precision viticulture techniques such as electrical conductivity mapping. The dry climate and mountain meltwater help maintain the natural health of the vines. The main grape varieties grown by the estate are Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Torrontés.

The winery combines tradition and modern technology, with restored facilities that preserve its historic architecture. Small-tank vinification techniques are used to preserve the expression of each plot. In addition, sustainable and organic practices are applied, with sustainable viticulture certification across all vineyards.
