Tandem (2003) is a ‘boutique’ winery located in Lácar, northwest of the D.O. Navarra, in the heart of the Yerri Valley and at the foot of the Camino de Santiago. It benefits from a cold climate with significant thermal contrasts that enhance the freshness of its wines. The abundance of rain and snow allows the entire vineyard to be dry-farmed, without irrigation. The strong afternoon winds help to dry out moisture, resulting in very healthy grapes with natural acidity.
Tandem wines have a modern profile, but traditional methods are revived in their production, using gravity, without pumps, with minimal intervention, and aging in underground concrete tanks to naturally clarify through decantation. For aging, they opt for 300-liter French and Central European oak barrels, aiming for balance and fruit prominence. The resulting wines are fresh and elegant.
