On an estate with a millenary history lie the winery and vineyards of Segura Viudas, on lands that once belonged to the monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallés, dedicated to agricultural activity since the 12th century. Continuing this legacy, the Segura Viudas winery was founded in 1954.
Its 50 hectares of vineyards stretch under the watchful eye of the Montserrat massif. Vines are hand-harvested, and their fruits are transported in 25 kg boxes to ensure they arrive at the winery in perfect condition. Currently, Segura Viudas (part of the Grupo Freixenet) produces over 6 million bottles per year, including wines and cavas, and has received numerous international awards.
