The partnership between Javier Galarreta, General Director of Araex Rioja Alavesa and Spanish Fine Wines, and Michel Rolland, the most sought-after winemaker on the planet, has led to the creation of the first Spanish wines bearing the label of the acclaimed oenological consultant. No one in the history of viticulture has had as much influence as this Frenchman, responsible for hundreds of wines across the five continents. In any case, it cannot be referred to as a winery per se, but rather as a project encompassed within The Grand Wines, which began in early 2010 with the selection of plots for the Rolland Galarreta wines.
