Ritme Celler

The Jané surname is essential to understanding the trajectory of Catalan wine over the last century. A faithful heir to this lineage is Albert Jané, who, from a very young age, carved out his own path, focusing on Montsant and Priorat, drawn by the diversity and strong character of these regions. In 2003, he began purchasing old vineyards of native varieties to produce unique wines that respect tradition and the ‘terroir’. This led to the 35 hectares he owns today, with varieties such as the red samsó (carignan) or garnacha.

First through the D.O. Montsant project Acústic Celler, and later through the D.O.Q. Priorat project Ritme Celler, Albert highlights the quality and uniqueness of traditional viticulture. In Priorat, he has a restored farmhouse turned winery where he vinifies each plot separately in custom tanks and ages the wines in the finest French oak barrels.
