Quinta do Noval

Founded in 1715, Quinta Do Noval is one of the great port-producing houses, with a unique feature: facilities and vineyards are located on the same property, in the style of the 'châteaux'. An estate with a privileged location in the Pinhâo Valley (Cima Corgo), in the heart of the Douro Valley. Its vineyards are classified with the letter A (highest category) and are cultivated with the noble grape varieties of the Douro: touriga nacional, tinta roriz, touriga franca, tinto cão, tinta barroca, tinta francisca, sousão.

The plots feature a rich geographical diversity and extend in terraces along the banks of the Douro and its tributaries, at an altitude between 100 and 500 m, on slate and clay soils. Quinta do Noval is one of the leading exporters of high-quality ports.
