Nadal is located on the estate that bears its name, in the Penedès region (Barcelona). A winery primarily dedicated to the production of cava, it also produces white wine under the D.O. Penedès. The Nadal estate has a centuries-old tradition linked to vine cultivation and winemaking. Its modern history began in 1941 with Ramón Nadal Giró, founder of the Nadal winery, who replanted the estate's vineyards that had been uprooted to build an airfield. In 1943, cava production began.
Currently, the Nadal estate is divided into 43 plots, with vineyards of advanced average age, of the macabeo, xarel.lo, parellada, and pinot noir varieties, carefully tended following the guidelines of integrated farming or "viticulture raisoneé". Nadal produces exclusively from its own vineyards.
