Maison Michel Redde et Fils is one of the most prominent wineries in Pouilly-Fumé, a prestigious A.O.C. in the Loire Valley. Michel Redde and his wife Simone began in the 1950s the work to expand the family estate in the town of Pouilly-sur-Loire, efforts that bore fruit in 1960 with the construction of a winery, which they named La Moynerie, in reference to the historical property located in the area, once run by monks.
Today, Maison Michel Redde et Fils is managed by the second generation, Thierry Redde, and the third generation, represented by his sons Sébastien and Romain, grandchildren of the founders Michel and Simone. The house's guiding style is based on traditional winemaking and respect for the vineyard. The 42 hectares they own in the heart of Pouilly-Fumé, mostly on clay and limestone slopes on the right bank of the Loire, are worked manually in the most natural and least interventionist way possible. An intriguing philosophy that is brilliantly embodied in elegant, harmonious, structured, and long-lived wines, with the characteristic mineral touch of this French production area.
