Luccarelli

The winery Luccarelli is located in the Salento region, in Puglia (Apulia), in the southeast of Italy, a region bathed by the Mediterranean Sea with a millenary winemaking tradition. Here, its vineyards are situated on calcareous soils with a characteristic red color due to the concentration of iron oxide.

The most important and ancient cultivation system in Salento is called ‘alberello’ (bush vine), a system that promotes low-yield, high-quality production and grapes with great concentration. At Luccarelli winery, all viticultural tasks are carried out manually, and they practice organic viticulture.

Luccarelli wines have great aging potential, and with barrel and bottle maturation, they develop a smooth structure and elegant tannins. The winery works with the traditional varieties of the region, such as Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, Malvasia Bianca, or Verdeca; additionally, they also cultivate international grapes like Chardonnay and Merlot.
