Lar de Paula

In 2004, Fernando Meruelo launched his project Lar de Paula (a name dedicated to his daughter Paula) in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, in the town of Elvillar de Álava. Here, the winery transforms Tempranillo grapes into magnificent and modern Rioja wines, which in a short time have positioned themselves in the best international markets, exporting almost half of the production.

The vineyards are protected to the north by the Sierra de Cantabria and bordered to the south by the Ebro Valley, where the climate favors the production of high-quality grapes. The next generation of the Meruelo family has joined the family business, and their wines are already earning numerous awards and recognitions.
