Hijos de Antonio Barceló

Born in Málaga in 1850, Antonio Barceló was a brilliant producer of liqueurs and brandies who, far from limiting his activity to production, also decided to dedicate himself to the aging and export of wines. His heirs continued the successful family business, and in 1973 they managed to expand into Castilla y León with a legendary label: Peñascal.

Hijos de Antonio Barceló is one of Spain's centenary wineries, winemakers and aging experts since 1876, a year from which the firm’s rise has been unstoppable. After its beginnings in Málaga, the group has established itself in various wine-producing regions such as D.O. Ribera del Duero (Viña Mayor), D.O.Ca. Rioja (Bodegas Palacio), D.O. Toro (Bodegas y Viñedos Anzil), D.O. Rueda (Caserío de Dueñas) or Laguna de Duero (Bodegas Peñascal).
