Garmón Continental

Garmón Continental is the third winery of the García family -Mariano García and sons- in the lands of the Duero, following Mauro (Tudela de Duero) and San Román (Toro). It advocates for an ancestral and small-scale viticulture, with old vineyards located in the high areas of Ribera del Duero. The winery is situated on a 3-hectare estate in the municipality of Olivares (Valladolid), on the banks of the Duero River and just 15 km from Mauro. Its entire production (80,000 bottles annually) is focused on a single wine: Garmón.

Garmón Continental is a project based on old tempranillo vines and native clones cultivated in small plots located in the eastern part of the Ribera del Duero: La Aguilera, Moradillo, Baños, Tubilla, and Anguix. The high altitude of the vineyards -between 850 and 1,000 m- enhances freshness, while the clay-limestone soils promote slow ripening.
