Finca Montepedroso is the latest project by the Martínez Bujanda family, owners of one of the most important wine empires in our country, which includes renowned wineries such as Finca Antigua (D.O. La Mancha) or Finca Valpiedra and Viña Bujanda (both in the D.O.Ca. Rioja). In this case, the chosen region is Rueda, the new global mecca for white wine.
At Finca Montepedroso, everything revolves around the 25 hectares of vineyards owned by the Martínez Bujanda family on the outskirts of Rueda. The verdejo grape, the white queen of Castilla y León, ripens year after year under the best possible conditions at an altitude of 750 meters. The group's technical director, Lauren Rosillo, is responsible for the only wine the winery currently produces, which shares its name.
