Estancia Piedra

Seduced by the potential of the D.O. Toro, Scottish lawyer Grant Stein and his wife, Anne, founded the Estancia Piedra winery in the 1990s. To launch this project, they chose one of the best plots in the area. Their Estancia Piedra estate hosts the largest property of old vineyards in the D.O. Toro: 35 hectares of Tinta de Toro vines, most of which were planted in 1968 on clay, sand, and limestone soils in the valley formed by the Duero and Guareña rivers. A valuable viticultural heritage divided into different plots, reflecting the heterogeneity of the soils.

The winemaking facilities are located just a few meters from the vineyard, where the most modern winemaking techniques are applied to produce wines that have earned the applause of the industry. Wines that highlight the varietal character of the traditional varieties of Toro. The winery also offers an extensive program of activities for wine tourists.
