Colet Vins i Caves

Since 1783, the Colet family has cared for their vineyards located in one of the most significant areas of central Penedès. Today, the Heredad Romaní hosts a new building where technology coexists with tradition to offer cavas tailored to current tastes. However, it was not until 1994 that the current Colet winery was established, producing limited edition wines and cavas born from organic viticulture, using their own vineyards and following the traditional production method. Colet oversees the entire production process, starting with native grape varieties (Macabeo, Parellada, Xarel.lo, and Ull de Llebre) and foreign ones (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer, and Riesling), crafting the base wine themselves for cavas and conducting the second fermentation in the bottle. Its artisanal character makes it particularly noteworthy, as it allows for high-quality standards applicable to all aspects. The family-run business is led by the Colet family (father and son), who handle all tasks in the small, absolutely functional winery. Colet is one of the few producers that specifies the disgorging date (printed on the cork). Their cavas are fresh, clean, light, and refreshing, aimed at a young audience, with a modern image and a focus on fruit.
