Cinema Wines

Cinema Wines is an initiative created in the D.O. Ribera del Duero by a group of friends who are passionate about wine and cinema, recently joined by actor Juan Echanove, a renowned oenophile and gastronome who was previously involved in another wine project in Ribera del Duero with Cepa 21. The company, founded in May 2010, produced its first wine made from 100% Tempranillo and aged for six months in French and American oak barrels. The new star of the Ribera was presented at the last Valladolid International Film Festival (Seminci), and all signs suggest it won't be the last festival where it takes center stage. Its label is the only one on the market featuring a complete thermometer thanks to the application of thermochromic inks. The back label is foldable and offers quotes from some of the most well-known filmmakers in the world.

Since the winery lacks its own facilities, it uses those of a cooperative near Aranda de Duero in Burgos. It also manages its 10 hectares of vineyards and ages the wines in its oak barrels. The winemaker responsible for the wine's success (87 Parker points and over 50,000 bottles sold) is none other than Juan Ayuso, one of the most prestigious and experienced wine consultants in the entire Ribera del Duero.
