Château Minuty

Château Minuty

Located in the heart of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, Château Minuty is one of the most iconic wineries in the Provence region. Founded in 1936 by Gabriel Farnet, this estate has successfully blended family tradition with innovation to become a global benchmark for rosé wine.

Château Minuty was acquired by Gabriel Farnet in 1936, who revitalised the estate and replanted traditional varieties. In 1955, it was recognised as one of the 23 Cru Classé properties of Côtes de Provence. Since the 1960s, the Matton-Farnet family has been at the helm, and today the fourth generation, represented by Anne-Victoire Matton, continues the family legacy. In 2023, the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group acquired a majority stake in the winery.

The estate covers approximately 200 hectares of vineyards across Gassin, Ramatuelle and Vidauban. The soils are mainly composed of calcareous schist, clay, sand and limestone, which bring freshness and minerality to the wines. The Mediterranean climate, moderated by the sea breeze, favours balanced grape ripening.

Château Minuty cultivates typical Provençal varieties such as Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvèdre. They also work with white varieties including Muscat Blanc, Viognier and Chenin Blanc, as well as some red varieties like Merlot and Tempranillo.

The winery combines traditional techniques with modern technology. Harvesting is done by hand to ensure optimal grape quality. The wines are crafted with special attention to freshness, aromatic finesse and expression of the terroir. Minuty holds HVE3 environmental certification and applies sustainable practices throughout the entire process.
