Although the origins of Château Haut-Bergey date back to the 15th century, its recent history began in 1991, when Sylviane and Gaston Garcin-Cathiard acquired the estate with the aim of modernizing it and giving it a new impetus.
Today, it is their son, Paul Garcin, who manages the estate, which boasts 40 hectares of vineyards located in the heart of the A.O.C. Pessac-Léognan, in the southern part of Bordeaux, specifically in the Graves subregion.
Following the principles of biodynamic viticulture, Château Haut-Bergey cultivates cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, petit verdot, and malbec grapes for its red wine and a unique rosé, as well as sauvignon blanc and sémillon vines for the estate's white wine.
