Château d'Esclans

Chateau d’Esclans is one of the most prominent wineries in the Var department, the birthplace of the finest rosés from the French Provence. After several changes of ownership, the estate, which spans an area of 267 hectares, 60 of which are vineyards, came under the ownership of Sacha Lichine in 2006, a renowned négociant of wines from Burgundy and the Rhône.

Grenache is the predominant grape variety cultivated by Chateau d’Esclans, followed by secondary varieties such as vermentino, cinsault, merlot, mourvèdre, syrah, and tibouren. With these, they produce and market delicate rosés under the A.O.C. Côtes de Provence and Côteaux d'Aix-en-Provence.
