Cumières, a village located in the heart of the Marne Valley, is the birthplace of the Geoffroy family, a lineage of winegrowers whose origins date back to the 17th century and the owners of Champagne Geoffroy. The house itself was founded in the early 1950s by Roger Geoffroy. After his passing, his son René took over the winery, which is currently managed alongside his own son, Jean-Baptiste.
Champagne Geoffroy owns 14 hectares of vineyard classified as Premier Cru, under the A.O.C. Champagne. These are spread across a total of 35 plots on the slopes of Cumières, Damery, Hautvillers, Fleury la Rivière, and are planted with the region's traditional grape varieties: chardonnay, meunier, and pinot noir.
Based on a philosophy forged in respect for the terroir, the vine, and the environment, the house upholds its own unique winemaking style where its wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation. The result is a champagne that is vibrant, fresh, and authentic, among the finest in Cumières.
