Champagne Delamotte

In the heart of the Côte des Blancs, in the now legendary village of Le Mesnil-Sur-Oger, Champagne Delamotte has stood since 1760, one of the mythical maisons of Champagne and the sixth oldest in the entire A.O.C. More than two centuries later, the small winery, founded by the winegrower François Delamotte, partnered with Champagne Salon and became part of the powerful Laurent-Perrier Group, led by Bernard de Nonancourt.

Champagne Delamotte crafts its wines from chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier sourced from its five hectares of estate-grown vines located in the renowned Grand Cru Le Mesnil-Sur-Oger, the crown jewel of Champagne vineyards, as well as from the plots of 30 winegrowers in Oger and Avize, with whom they have been working for decades.

Under the oenological direction of Michel Fauconnet, Delamotte produces its champagnes in facilities equipped with state-of-the-art systems while adhering to the traditional methods that have made the Champagne region famous worldwide. Featured in the most prestigious gastronomic temples (in Spain, for instance, in Michelin-starred establishments such as Celler de Can Roca, Martín Berasategui, Mugaritz, or Santceloni), the house is especially renowned for its Blanc de Blancs, exquisite single-varietal sparkling wines made from chardonnay, the quintessential queen variety of the region.
