Celler Vall Llach

The Vall Llach project was conceived in the early nineties, when the singer-songwriter Lluis Llach, after an experience in the Porrera cooperative, where the renowned Cims de Porrera was produced, decided to embark on his own journey and associate his name with this winemaking venture alongside notary Enric Costa.

Gradually, they traversed the various landscapes of Porrera (Priorat), the birthplace of Llach's mother, and gathered the oldest vineyards to obtain high-quality grapes. Additionally, in order to complement the garnacha and cariñena from old vines and add greater complexity to their wines, they began planting the French varieties cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and syrah.

Currently, Celler Vall Llach is managed by Lluis Llach and Enric Costa's son, Albert Costa, who also serves as the winemaker. The winery is divided into two buildings: on one hand, La Final, an old structure located in the town square of Porrera; and on the other, Cal Valdrich, the actual winery, a restored old and noble manor house. Celler Vall Llach is committed to controlled micro-production of its vineyards to ensure that quality always prevails, maintaining rigorous control over each of the processes.
