(Own presentation): Burmester is the oldest winery in Oporto, enjoying great prestige for the quality of its wines. It was founded in 1730 by Henry Burmester and John Nash, initially dedicated to the grain trade in London, and 20 years later ventured into wine production for export to the British Isles and the rest of Europe. Today, Burmester belongs to the Sogevinos group, owned by the Spanish company Caixanova.
