Bodegas Yllera

Bodegas Yllera was founded in the early 1970s by Pepe and Jesús Yllera, the fifth generation of a Castilian winemaking family, known in the region as “los Curros.” They created the first “modern” verdejos from Rueda and were also visionaries who recognized the great potential of Ribera del Duero in the early 1980s. Thus, in 1986, they began producing wines in this red wine region, alongside winemaker Ramón Martínez, after acquiring a winery in Boada de Roa.

Their first wines in Ribera del Duero were launched under the Bracamonte brand. Yllera wines immediately resonated with both consumers and experts, establishing themselves as a major Spanish brand in the international market thanks to favorable ratings from Robert Parker. Today, the winery is led by the sixth generation of the family.

Since 2015, they have had a new winery in Curiel de Duero, where they produce 'premium' wines in Ribera del Duero, a new project named VivaltuS.

Yllera owns a 172-hectare vineyard and works closely with nearly 1000 additional hectares managed by partner viticulturists.
