Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola

Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola is a family-owned winery from Jerez, founded by Phelipe Antonio Zarzana Spínola, a textile merchant and amateur viticulturist, whose origins date back to the 18th century. The first notarized export of the winery was documented in 1729, although no records of its commercial activity are preserved until 1736, nor of grape cultivation until 1752.

Currently, the ninth generation of the family, represented by José Antonio Zarzana, runs this estate from its small château located between Sanlúcar and Trebujena, surrounded by 20 hectares of estate-owned vineyards. This makes the winery the only one in the entire Jerez region exclusively dedicated to the Pedro Ximénez grape. This unique feature has earned it the Denominación Varietal Pedro Ximénez de Acreditación Propia for its wines. This recognition, along with the winemaking techniques developed by the winery itself, and its extremely limited and numbered productions, makes the brand synonymous with the highest quality and exclusivity.
