Bodegas y Viñedos ecológicos Odum is a family winery founded in 2014, a project that had been maturing for decades. Led by José Antonio Martínez, the son of a winegrower, who decided to take a step further and produce his own wines, just as his grandfather used to do in the past. The Odum project is focused on sustainable agriculture: both its vineyards and the winemaking process are entirely organic. Their wines are made exclusively from their own vineyards, mainly cultivated with native grapes from the Spanish Levante (primarily monastrell), resulting in wines with intense color, rich alcohol content, full body, and pronounced aroma.
Bodegas y Viñedos ecológicos Odum has vineyards within the D.O. Yecla trained on trellises and vineyards in the D.O. Jumilla cultivated as bush vines, covering an area of 40 hectares, where the varieties monastrell, syrah, and tempranillo dominate. Throughout the year, they care for the vines using non-aggressive pruning and weeding techniques. When the grapes reach their optimal ripeness, they harvest manually, selecting only the best fruits; finishing in the winery with another selection before starting to transform this prized fruit.
