Bodegas y Viñedos de Cal Grau

Bodegas y Viñedos de Cal Grau (D.O.Q. Priorat) belongs to the thriving group Compañía de Viñedos Iberian, owned by the Osborne Osborne family. Cal Grau is a small winery located in the Finca la Solana de Cal Grau, between the municipalities of El Lloar and El Molar (Tarragona). The estate has 22 hectares of vineyards, where the main local varieties are cultivated: garnacha and samsó (cariñena), along with small plots of more internationally inclined varieties. Additionally, the winery manages 10 more hectares of vineyards.

The philosophy of Cal Grau is based on dividing the vineyards according to their soil, variety, and location in order to produce wines that respect the identity of the terroir. The vineyards extend along the slopes, forming the famous terraces and growing on slate soils locally known as “licorella”, which impart a significant mineral identity to their wines. Each variety and plot is vinified separately in small tanks, and the aging process is always carried out in French oak, also separately, until the final blending.

Cal Grau defines its creations as “mountain wines”. Currently, it markets the brands La Petite Agnés, Clos Badaceli, and Les Ones.
