Bodegas Victoria

The Segura Serrano Family, connected for generations to the town of Longares in the Cariñena region and to the culture of vine and wine, decided in the year 2000 to expand and deepen their roots by creating an exemplary oenological project. Following the recommendation of Baltasar Gracián, the winemaker Miguel Ángel de Gregorio was invited to lead this project: to create unique, high-expression wines in the Campo de Cariñena. At the beginning of 2006, the project came to fruition, adhering to the principles of Miguel Ángel de Gregorio: "a winery is not a building but a philosophy." And the philosophy of Bodegas Victoria is clear and firm: they produce only wines with personality, uniqueness, and the highest quality. Cariñena is the oldest designation of origin in Aragón and one of the first in Spain (1932). It spans an area of 15,200 hectares, encompassing 14 municipalities located in the Ebro Valley. Its winemaking tradition dates back to Phoenician times. The winery building covers more than 3,000 square meters. Its Aragonese architectural style integrates seamlessly with the surrounding vineyards, creating a captivating landscape. Seventy-two hectares of vineyards with Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot varieties in the La Pardina area, within the Campo de Cariñena at 550 meters above sea level, lie in a plain beneath the Sierra de Algairén. This is their most prized asset. The continental climate, with sharp temperature contrasts, creates an ideal terroir for producing grapes with a distinctively intense flavor.
