The largest underground winery in Europe is located in the Madrid town of Villamanta and represents the latest major commitment in the Community of Madrid to producing quality wines. The estate, covering 38 hectares, is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Garnacha, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Syrah, and Negral (an indigenous variety from Madrid). The Colomo family is committed to a project that has all the elements to become a benchmark in the Spanish wine scene.
