Bodegas Valduero

Founded in 1984 by the García Viadero family, Valduero is one of the wineries responsible for Ribera del Duero being considered today as one of the most important wine regions in the world. Its foundation took place just two years after the creation of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin, and from the beginning, it committed to producing quality wines following principles to which the winery has remained faithful throughout three decades of history: a return to traditional viticulture (goblet-trained planting, absence of irrigation, and natural non-mineral fertilizers), meticulous fruit selection, pursuit of high concentrations, and carefully studied aging in the finest oak barrels. Fidelity to these principles has made Valduero one of the benchmark wineries in Ribera del Duero, not only in Spain but worldwide.

Bodegas Valduero is located in the Burgos municipality of Gumiel de Mercado and surrounded by 230 hectares of vineyards in the purest château style. Today, sisters Yolanda and Carolina García Viadero, who have been part of Valduero since its foundation, remain at the helm of the winery and continue to set trends thanks to the exceptional quality of their wines.
