Bodegas del Palacio de Fefiñanes, founded in 1904 in Cambados, is one of the main reasons why albariño holds a prestigious place among the best white grapes in the world. Since Juan Gil de Araújo took over the business in the 1990s, the winery has always strived to produce the best possible wine by using the highest quality raw materials, a goal they have achieved by working with the finest grapes carefully cultivated year after year by a dedicated group of local viticulturists.

The splendid Palacio de Fefiñanes owes its name to the square on which its foundations rest, considered one of the most beautiful in all of Galicia, alongside the Obradoiro square in Santiago de Compostela. The winery is equipped with the most modern technology, and it is here that the renowned winemaker Cristina Mantilla crafts the legendary Albariño de Fefiñanes in its three variations: young, III Año (with an extended aging on lees), and 1583 (fermented and aged for 5 months in American and French oak barrels).
