The first wine from Licinia that hit the market – vintage 2006, 91 Parker points – confirmed that the D.O. Vinos de Madrid had definitively reached maturity. Located in Morata de Tajuña, very close to Chinchón, Bodegas Licinia has a very limited production that always prioritizes quality above all else. The distinctive design of their wine labels has already become a classic.
Bodegas Licinia has 28 hectares of its own vineyards in the municipalities of Morata de Tajuña and Chinchón. Two-thirds are Tempranillo, and the rest are Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot. The cultivation is organic, and in just over five years – it was founded in 2005 – they have become one of the most prominent wineries in the D.O Vinos de Madrid.
