Bodegas Hacienda del Carche is the sister brand of Casa de la Ermita. Both projects have belonged, since 2013, to the Esencia Wines Cellars S. L. group, owned by Juan Vicente García Jordán, a member of a family linked to the wine sector for four generations.
In addition to being part of the same group, the two wineries of the D.O. Jumilla share space on a vast 100-hectare estate located in the heart of El Carche mountain range, a protected regional park situated in the north of Murcia. Its brown and limestone soils retain the scarce rainfall in this environment, ensuring the survival of the vineyards, even during prolonged droughts. These conditions give the grapes a great aromatic concentration and a unique flavor, characteristics that are passed on to the wines made from them.
Hacienda del Carche is equipped with the most modern vinification systems, from stainless steel tanks with automatic pumping-over systems to electronically controlled presses that extract only the free-run juice, along with microfiltration machinery that ensures the microbiological stability of all the wines produced. This cutting-edge technology, together with the meticulous work carried out in the vineyards to achieve the best monastrell, syrah, cabernet sauvignon, moscatel, or sauvignon blanc grapes, among others they cultivate, allows for the production of complex, harmonious, and modern wines.
