Bodegas Félix Callejo

Félix Callejo, a member of a family with a long winemaking tradition, founded this family winery located in Sotillo de la Ribera (Burgos), in the northern part of Ribera del Duero, where its vineyards are also situated. A total of 60 hectares of tempranillo cultivated at a high altitude of 850-930 m, benefiting from significant temperature variations between day and night, which enhance the ripening of the grapes; on soils with different compositions that provide a wide range of nuances to the wines.

The Félix Callejo winery manages the vineyard following ecological criteria, and its wines are produced in a traditional manner, with minimal intervention in the winery, in order to highlight the varietal character and the expression of each vineyard. Only indigenous yeasts are used, and for aging, French oak barrels. Currently, it is run by the 4 Callejo siblings, children of the winery's founder.
