The history of Bodegas Castro Martín dates back to 1887, when old documents were found proving the existence of a winery and the sale of Albariño wine. The current winery facilities were built in 1982 by Domingo Martín Morales, about five years before the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin was created. The winery was the first in the region to be fully equipped with stainless steel tanks for wine production and storage.
