The beginnings of Bodegas Campos Reales date back to 1950, when dozens of small farmers founded this winery in El Provencio (Cuenca), a small village in the D.O. La Mancha. Campos Reales has successfully adapted the region's rich winemaking tradition to new production techniques, achieving remarkable quality in its wines. The winery is located at the epicenter of 3,500 hectares of vineyards that supply it during harvest, hosting a wide variety of grape varieties, though its specialty is tempranillo, a grape perfectly adapted to the unique microclimate of the area and which ages exceptionally well in barrels.
One of the greatest treasures of Bodegas Campos Reales is its ungrafted vineyards over 70 years old, which produce its most distinguished wine: “cánfora.” These vineyards have been passed down from generation to generation, hand-harvested, with very low yields (between 2-3 kg per vine). Once the grapes enter the winery, innovation takes over: Campos Reales is equipped with climate-controlled facilities, tanks with the Ganímede system, and the most advanced filtration and clarification techniques. In recent years, the winery has embarked on a new path by venturing into the production of organic wines.
